Unique Features of our Playground
1. Base of playground will be shaped like a bowl and filled with water because according to our research, emotionally traumatised children tend to be too tense and filling the base with water will help calm them down as it will act as the waves on the beach washing up onto the shore.
2. Second floor of playground will be partly sheltered to protect the children playing in the playground from rain and too much sunlight because according to our research, children who are emotionally traumatised needs to feel the sense of security.
Based on the novel, we are going to build a treehouse next to the playground so as to let the children play up there and let them feel free, feel strong and encourage them that they can do anything because most emotionally traumatised children have suffered from bullying and by building the treehouse for them, it will give them the confidence and strength when they look down at the playground from that height.
